Hot take: My old boss in Phoenix swore by the $20 multimeter from Harbor Freight, but after it fried a board on a Samsung fridge, I switched.
Bought a Fluke 101 for $60 last year and haven't had a single misread since. Anyone else have a tool they cheap out on that totally bit them?

My buddy's cheap socket set stripped a bolt head clean off. He spent more on the extractor kit than a good set would've cost.

Man, that's like my neighbor who tried to save money on a lawnmower. He got some no-name brand from a flea market, worked for two weeks then the blade just flew off. Almost hit his dog. Had to buy a real mower anyway plus a new blade for the old one. Just ends up costing more in the long run when you cheap out on tools. Some things you just gotta spend decent money on the first time around otherwise you're paying twice.
