Spent 4 hours chasing a phantom error on a basic LG washer

Got a call last week about an LG front loader that kept throwing a dE error mid-cycle. I checked the door switch, the latch assembly, even swapped the control board. Took me until the third trip to realize the little rubber drain hose was kinked under the machine, causing a slow drain and tricking the door lock sensor. Four hours of my life I will never get back. Has anyone else had a simple kinked hose cause something like this?

Kinda reminds me of the time I spent an hour on a Samsung dryer that kept shutting off randomly. Turned out the vent hose was just slightly crushed behind the unit, restricting airflow enough to trip the thermal limiter. These little hose issues are so dumb, they feel like they should be the last thing you check, you know?

Actually the dE error on LG machines is usually linked to the drain cycle timing out, not directly the door lock. A kinked hose throws the whole timing off, which is why the board swap didn't fix it.
