Flat spots are a major red flag, man. Time to retire that rope before it gets you killed.

Yeah, my buddy ignored a flat spot on his lead line last season. The sheath gave way on a simple top rope fall, just peeled right open. He got lucky it was over a clean slab and not something sharp.
