I used to think the Clovis people were the first in North America
Three years ago at a dig in Texas, I found a tool layer below the Clovis level. Last month, I read a new paper about the White Sands footprints dated to 23,000 years ago. That proof changed my mind completely. Now I'm sure people were here much earlier. Has anyone else worked on a pre-Clovis site?

White Sands is cool but dating methods can be wrong.

Dating methods are pretty solid these days though.

Changed your mind completely" seems like a big deal over some old footprints. It's just archaeology, not life or death.
