Hot take: The best diner in NH is the one nobody talks about

I was sitting at a counter in Tilton last weekend, eating a plate of eggs and home fries, when I overheard two guys arguing about which diner in Manchester has the best pancakes. One said Red Arrow, the other said Airport Diner. I didn't say anything, but I swear the place I was at had way better food than either of those. This little spot called the Tilton House Diner. Simple menu, nothing fancy. The waitress remembered my order from six months ago. That kind of service matters more to me than a trendy menu. Has anyone else found a small-town diner that blows the big-name ones out of the water?

yeah but hold up, were the home fries actually crispy or super soggy? i feel like that's the real test of a diner. too many places drown em in grease and call it a day. also did they use real butter on the toast or that weird margarine spread? little things like that tell you if a place actually cares or if they're just phoning it in

Man, you hit the nail on the head with that home fry test. I had a buddy who swore by this one place, said their breakfast was top tier.
