Hit 100,000 miles on my pickup last Tuesday
I rolled over to 100,000 miles on my 2015 F-150 driving home from a job in Brighton. That number surprised me because I bought it with 60,000 miles three years ago and figured I'd trade it in around 80,000. But it just keeps going without any big repairs besides a water pump last winter. I do all the oil changes myself every 5,000 miles, which probably helps. It got me thinking about how many trips that thing has done between job sites in Colorado and Utah. Has anyone else held onto a vehicle way longer than you planned because it just works?

My buddy Tom has a 2004 Tacoma with 280,000 miles on it. He keeps saying he'll get a new truck someday but that thing still runs smooth as butter. He did have to replace the alternator around 200,000 and the AC compressor went out last summer. Now he's just curious to see how far it'll actually go before it finally gives up.

He'll probably get to 400k easy, those old Tacomas are tanks.
