Rant: Stop letting termite inspectors upsell you on fumigation

Honestly, I see so many neighbors in Gwinnett County paying $3,000 for tenting when they just have a few mud tubes near the foundation. I had a guy from Arrow Pest try to push it on me last spring, but a second opinion showed spot treatment worked fine. Ask for a local treatment quote first before you agree to anything big, has anyone else caught inspectors overhyping the damage?

Maybe it's just me but spot treatments work fine for most issues.

Gotta push back a little on that one @skyler_lane83. I used to think spot treatments were enough too, but then I realized I was just covering up the problem instead of fixing the root cause. For small stuff, sure, maybe a dab here and there works. But with larger patches or if you get breakouts in the same area again and again, spot treatments never seemed to do much for me long term. Your mileage may vary, but I found consistent care across the whole area made a bigger difference than just hitting the spots.

Three times in a row on the same spot on my chin? You're telling me three breakouts in the exact same place is "fine"? I mean, I know everyone's skin is different, but that sounds like a warning sign to me. In my experience, if a spot keeps coming back to the same tiny little area, that's a deeper issue, not a quick fix. Spot treatments might clear it up for a day, but in my book, that's just the problem taking a timeout. Like, your mileage may vary, but I'd be losing my mind if I had to dab the same zit every single week for a month.
