Saw a guy at a shop in Phoenix use a zip tie to hold a fuel line together as a temp fix
Two days later I got a call from a customer whose car caught fire on the I-10 because of that same trick, so now I throw away any zip ties near fuel lines on sight has anyone else seen this kind of shortcut go bad?

And @abby_robinson58 you're lucky it just melted, my first attempt at that trick ended with me standing in a parking lot holding a smoking hose like an idiot. I learned the hard way that zip ties and gasoline fumes are a match made in pure stupidity. Now I treat any zip tie near a fuel line like it's a loaded gun and just snip it on sight.
