inPro tip: That $40 shelf pin jig from Amazon saved my hide on a big job last week
Man, you almost had it perfect with that $40 jig and then it goes and pulls a fast one on you by not having a depth stop... figures. I swear it's like these companies know exactly what to leave off just to make you upgrade to the $100 version. At least you didn't blow through the plywood and have to start over though, count your blessings on that one. For real though, paying forty bucks to save four hours of work is still a steal, even if you have to eyeball the depth like a caveman with a drill.

inMy uncle in Phoenix warned me about the HELOC vs cash-out refi math last fall.
And once you factor in that annual fee to the break-even calculation, the timeline gets pushed way back, sometimes to the point where it's barely worth it lol. It's wild how those small charges change the whole picture when you actually run the numbers.

inOld timer told me to wet the subgrade before pouring. I thought he was crazy.
Ngl, Hank was right. Wetting that subgrade stops the dry dirt from sucking all the moisture out of your concrete.

inShoutout to the career counselor at the public library in Tulsa who made me rethink my resume
Agree with @adam_hernandez completely. Results talk, everything else walks. Simple shift makes ALL the difference.

inI keep seeing estheticians skip the patch test for peels and it makes me nervous
Skipping patch tests is just asking for trouble.
