Talked to a 30 year diesel tech last week and it made me rethink how I approach electrical diagnostics
He said I spend too much time chasing voltage drops and not enough looking at ground side corrosion on old trucks. Has anyone else found that focusing on grounds first actually saves you time?

Started chasing a ground issue for two hours before realizing the battery disconnect was still off. Learned that lesson hard after a senior tech walked over and fixed it in thirty seconds. Grounds are definitely the first thing to check now, saves me from looking like a complete fool.

Used to skip that check too @karen_hart until this exact thing happened to me.
