That alignment shop guy in Detroit called me out on my lazy camber adjustment

Guy at a shop near Dearborn told me I was just cranking tie rods without checking the steering angle sensor first, like I was wasting his time. That one comment made me pull up the factory manual on my phone right there and realize I had been setting front ends all wrong for like 6 years. Has anyone else had a customer or another mechanic call them out on something that made you totally change your approach?

That "wasting his time" comment hits different when you realize half of life is just skipping steps.

Honestly, is there any other way to live? Skipping steps is basically the secret to getting anything done.
