My uncle sold cars for 18 years and said skip the extended warranty, then my transmission went at 61k
He swore they were pure profit for the dealer and I believed him, so I turned down the $1,800 plan when I bought my SUV in Boise. Trans blew 4 months later and the rebuild ran me $4,200 out of pocket. Anyone here actually gotten their money's worth from one of these, or is he right that it's all a racket?
