PSA: dealer told me my "lifetime" powertrain warranty was void because I missed ONE oil change
I was at the dealership in Tucson last month for a weird rattle and they pulled my service records, saw I went 1,200 miles past the interval back in March, and told me my powertrain coverage was done. I argued with the service manager for 40 minutes, then called the warranty company direct and they said the dealer was wrong, so I filed a formal complaint and got it reinstated. Has anyone else had a dealer try to void coverage over a single late oil change, and did you fight it or just eat the cost?
