Showerthought: my extended warranty claim took 7 weeks over a $45 part

So my 2019 Civic threw a code back in April and the dealer said the water pump was covered under my extended plan. Cool, right? Nope. They sat on the approval for 7 weeks because the adjuster wanted my full service records going back to 2019, and I had moved twice since then. I ended up paying $45 out of pocket for the gasket just to get my car back while the claim crawled along. Does anyone know if I can push back on that, or do we all just eat the small stuff to avoid the headache?
