Finally caught my crimp tool preference was backwards after a tip from a Delta guy

I spent 2 years swearing by my old ratchet crimper for D-sub pins, then a Delta tech showed me my die was set for the wrong gauge at the MRO in Tulsa, has anyone else had a senior guy just casually expose their whole process like that?

The die side being off just kills your whole day, man. Once a senior guy pointed me to the same fix, I started checking the gauge numbers before every job, not just trusting the tool.
