Used to think continuity checks solved everything until a ghost voltage got me
For years I just buzzed out wires with a basic multimeter and called it good, never bothered with a tone generator. Last month a faulty connector on a Cessna 172 had me chasing a 2 ohm difference for three hours. When did you ditch the simple meter and start using a proper wire tracer?

That "ghost voltage" thing is wild, it's the same as how people trust GPS until it takes them down a dead end road. Sometimes you just gotta ditch the easy tool and grab the right one.

Oh man, that's such a good point. I mean, it's like relying on a multimeter's non-contact mode and getting all confident until you actually touch the leads and realize you've been reading phantom energy this whole time. Idk, sometimes the basic tools just save you from looking like a fool.
