Looking for a solid 3-day loop in the White Mountains
Last October, I did a quick overnight on the Franconia Ridge Trail and got totally hooked. I'm planning a trip back for early September and want to try a 3-day loop, maybe covering 25-30 miles total. I've heard the Pemi Loop is the classic, but I'm worried about the crowds. Are there any slightly less traveled loops that still have those big views? I'll be coming from Boston and can handle a decent amount of elevation gain.

You did Franconia Ridge in October and you're worried about the Pemi Loop being too crowded? That's like the most packed trail in the whole state, lmao. The Pemi Loop in September will be a total zoo, you're right to look for something else. Check out the Wildcat-Carter-Moriah range for a loop, the views are just as insane. You can link it with the Imp Trail and some old logging roads to make a solid three day trip. It's way quieter once you get past Wildcat.

Yeah the Imp Trail link-up is a great call, those old logging roads are perfect for avoiding the crowds.
