Our old coop from 2008 finally gave out, the new one is worlds apart
The original coop I built with my dad back in 2008, we used scrap plywood and basic hinges, it lasted 16 years until the roof sagged during a storm in March. My new one from Tractor Supply has proper ventilation, sliding doors, and I can actually stand inside to clean it. Took me a whole weekend to put together, but now I wonder how we managed with that drafty shack. Anyone else surprised by how much easier modern coops are to maintain than the DIY ones we started with?
