Vent: My neighbor told me I'm 'overcomplicating' chicken keeping and it's been bugging me all week
She said all I need is a coop and some feed, but I spent $300 on a proper ventilation setup after losing two hens to heat stress last summer. Is there really any such thing as too much care for these birds?

Man, I've been there. I lost a bird to overheating my first summer too and it made me rethink everything about my setup. That $300 you spent on ventilation is probably saving you from losing more birds this summer, so I'd call that money well spent.

Three fans in a 4x8 coop is a lot of air movement. Did you run ducting or just mount them straight into the walls?
