Phone star apps vs paper star charts, the paper won me over last month
I finally did a side by side test in my backyard near Tucson. I had my phone app out for a week and then switched to a laminated paper chart for another week. The app kept killing my night vision every time I glanced at it, even with red mode on. Paper was way easier to read and I caught way more faint stuff like the Veil Nebula. Anyone else ditch their phone for good because of the glare? What charts do you all use?
