That $200 silicone bread proofing basket set was a lesson
I bought this fancy proofing set online cause my grandma's old towel method always gave me lopsided loaves. Turns out the baskets needed way more flour than any video showed, and my dough stuck so bad I had to scrape it out with a butter knife. Cost me 200 bucks plus a whole Saturday and two ruined batches of sourdough. Ended up going back to a floured mixing bowl and a damp cloth for a third of the trouble. Anyone else shell out for specialty gear and just end up mad at the cleanup?

Switched to proofing in the fridge overnight and never looked back.
