Figured out my fade issue was all about rhythm, not the tools.

Old clippers had a loud buzz that kept me on beat. I just play some funk music now and it works even better.

Wait, do the old clippers really help that much? I found the rhythm is just in your hands, not the sound. Once you get the wrist motion down, you can fade to any noise, or even silence.

Reminds me of when I tried learning guitar with a busted amp. The static was awful, but I got used to it and focused on my fingers instead. Idk, maybe some tools just have a vibe that helps.

My buddy swears his grandpa's old clippers just FEEL different. He says the weight and hum put him in a zone he can't find with new ones.
