That one customer who told me I should work for free

Had a guy sit in my chair last Saturday, midtown Atlanta, and after I finished his fade he said I was just starting out so he shouldn't have to pay full price. I've been barbering for 7 years, my station is covered in regulars. How do you handle people who act like your time ain't worth anything?

Tell them straight up what you charge before you even start. I run a small accounting firm and had a client try to haggle after I did their taxes. I pointed to my rate sheet on the wall and said "the price was clear before we started." That barber should have said "my time is worth the posted price. If you have a problem with it, pay it now or don't sit in my chair next time." Some people will always try to get something for nothing, but you don't have to let them.

Yeah @perry.karen, I once saw a guy argue over a $5 haircut for 20 minutes lol.
