Scored a beat to hell Polaroid camera at a church rummage sale in Tulsa for $3 and the lady running the table told me her grandkids thought it was a toy.

She said 'you know that old thing probably don't work' but I pulled out a pack of film I had in my bag and the first shot came out nearly perfect, has anyone else had a random stranger's comment make a thrift find feel special?

Ha, love it when some random grandma jinxes you and you immediately prove her wrong! That's like finding a $20 bill in an old coat pocket but way cooler. Had a similar thing happen at a flea market where some old dude told me a beat-up film camera I was looking at was probably "just for decoration." Of course I pulled out a half-dead battery and it fired right up. The look on his face was worth the $5 I paid for it. Nothing better than when the universe low-key backs you up like that.

That's always nice when a random comment ends up being wrong in your favor. Especially when you had the film on you to prove it, that's a solid little moment.
