That brisket from Big Bob's in Memphis nearly ruined my smoker
Last Saturday I picked up a pre-smoked brisket from Big Bob's place on Poplar Avenue... put it in my offset to reheat and the grease drippings caught fire inside. Took me 4 hours to scrub the creosote off. Has anyone else had a store-bought brisket wreck their pit like that?

Haha oh man, that's rough. You'd think a place like Big Bob's would have their grease situation figured out before they sell it to you. Sounds like your smoker went from "low and slow" to "grease fire inferno" real quick. I bet that creosote is a nightmare to get off, I'd rather scrub my driveway with a toothbrush than deal with that mess. Next time you might want to just reheat it in the oven and save your smoker the drama.
