Got lost in season 3 of a show nobody talks about

I was scrolling Hulu last Tuesday and stumbled onto this show called Patriot. Never heard anyone mention it ever. Two episodes in and I was hooked, but then around episode 6 of season 3 the whole plot took this weird turn with a stolen boat and a guy singing folk songs. I actually paused and checked if I was watching the same show lol. Turns out I skipped season 2 by accident, so I had to backtrack and rewatch 10 episodes. Fixed it by starting over from the right spot. Anyone else ever hop into a show mid-stream and mess up the whole story?

Probably wouldve worked better if you watched them in order, season 2 sets up that whole boat nonsense.

And youre totally right about the boat nonsense setup in season 2. I used to think that season was just filler honestly, like they were killing time before the big stuff. But after rewatching it last week I caught all those little hints with the fishing equipment and the weird dock scene in episode 5. It actually makes the whole third season hit way harder when you see how they planted those seeds early. Kinda embarrassed I missed it the first time around.
