Just realized 'Mindhunter' is way better than I ever gave it credit for
I skipped this show for like three years because I thought it was just another boring cop drama with bad acting... my brother kept telling me to watch it but I figured he just had low standards. Then last month I was stuck at home with the flu and ran out of stuff to watch, so I finally clicked on episode one. Man, I was so wrong. The way they dig into the psychology of serial killers, especially the interviews with actual convicted guys, is just fascinating. It's slow in places but that tension builds so well you can't stop watching. Now I'm mad there's only two seasons and Netflix hasn't greenlit a third. Has anyone else put off a show for years only to binge it and fall in love? What was it?

Wait, did you watch the whole thing in one go or did you take breaks between episodes? I found my brain needed a little time to process after each one, especially the Ed Kemper interviews (you know, the giant guy who was so polite but also terrifying). I'm curious if binging it all at once hit different for you since that's what I did when I was sick.

Honestly, have you tried watching it with captions on? I did that with a slow burn show once and it totally changed how I paid attention to the little details.
