Pro tip: I switched from a basic coal forge to a propane one last winter and the difference in heat control is crazy.

My steel heats up way more even now, and I'm not fighting to keep a fire going. Has anyone else made the switch and noticed they use less fuel?

My first propane forge was a cheap 2-burner that I built from a kit, and I swear the damn thing heated up like a campfire in a windstorm. I spent more time cussing at the flame than actually working steel until I figured out the right regulator pressure. But once I got it dialed in, the even heat made all my blade projects look way less like a 5th grader's shop class.

Wow, my old coal forge just ate charcoal like it was going out of style...
