Wait there's a wrong way to shuffle? Like is this a specific board game or just general card shuffling? That's wild to me. I've been shuffling cards forever and nobody's ever called me out on it. Denver sounds like it has some hardcore gamers if they're critiquing shuffle technique. Were you doing the bridge shuffle or the overhand shuffle or what? Hold up, wait. You're telling me you've gone your whole life shuffling cards and nobody said a WORD? That's wild. I mean, I once got called out at a poker night in a dive bar for doing the overhand shuffle wrong - some guy told me I was "exposing the face cards" or something. He was dead serious too, like I'd just committed a crime. I didn't even know that was a thing. People in Denver must take their card games real serious if they're grading your shuffle form like it's a test. Makes me wonder what other stuff I've been doing wrong for thirty years nobody told me about.
