Pro tip: Organizing my game tokens took 4 hours longer than I planned

Last Saturday I decided to sort all the board game tokens from my collection into separate containers. I figured it would be a quick afternoon project, maybe 2 hours tops. But I got stuck sorting tiny resource cubes from Settlers of Catan because they looked almost identical in dim light. By the time I finished labeling everything, it was 7pm and I had spent over 6 hours on it. Has anyone else had a simple organizing task for their games turn into a whole day affair?

Respectfully, I see this totally different. Sorting tokens is one of those jobs where you can't really rush it or you'll mess it up later. Blame the dim light all you want but those Catan cubes have subtle color differences that matter during actual gameplay. I've learned the hard way that organizing stuff properly the first time saves headaches later when you're trying to set up a game night with friends. Six hours sounds like a lot but honestly you probably saved yourself way more time down the road.

Betcha those subtle color differences only show under that dim light though.

Nah, natural daylight shows those shades just fine. Six hours is just being thorough.
