Shoutout to the guy who insisted we play a 4-hour game on a Tuesday night

I agreed to try Twilight Imperium with my regular group, thinking we'd just learn the rules. We finished at 2 AM and I had to be at work by 8. The unexpected result? I'm now the one pushing for a rematch this weekend. Anyone else get totally hooked on a game they thought would be a chore?

Our first Twilight Imperium game went until 4 AM on a work night. That sleep deprivation was totally worth it.

Oh man, that hits home. We had a game that started at noon and just... never stopped. My friend was the Emirates of Hacan, just hoarding trade goods all game, and the look on his face when I finally took Mecatol Rex was priceless. Stumbling into work the next day was pure pain, but I'd still do it again.
