Switched from dice towers to rolling trays for my game nights

I used to think dice towers were the only way to keep rolls fair, but after three game nights with a felt-lined tray from a local shop in Austin, I realized it's quieter and easier to pass around. Has anyone else made the swap and noticed a difference in table space?

Ngl, did the felt just not have enough of a lip to stop the dice?

quieter and easier to pass around" - yeah I get that part but I had the opposite problem with trays. Took up way more space than my tower and the dice kept bouncing over the felt onto the table anyway. Tower keeps everything contained and I can just stack it on the shelf between games. Traded mine back after two weeks.
