Just realized my book club has been debating the same book for 7 weeks

We picked a 320 page novel back in early March and somehow we are still arguing about chapter 12 at the coffee shop on Elm. I counted our meeting notes and we have spent over 9 hours on this one book, which is more time than we gave the last three books put together. Is this normal for a club of 11 people, or should we be setting a hard cutoff so we actually finish a book?
