Rant: our club picked a 900 page book and half of us quit by chapter 4

We met at Dana's place on Tuesday, and when she asked who finished, only 3 of the 11 of us raised a hand, so now I need to know if your group sets a page cap before voting or if you just let democracy ruin everyone's fall.

Split it into chunks with deadlines, not one giant book.
