The librarian in Tulsa said to read the ending first, and it saved our whole meeting
Our club almost fell apart over The Overstory because half of us felt lost by page 60 and just stopped reading. Then a librarian named Dana in Tulsa told me to try reading the last chapter before the first, just as a group experiment, and 9 of our 12 members finished the book that round. I thought she was nuts, but knowing where the story landed made everyone argue way harder about the middle instead of giving up on it. Does anyone else prep for a rough book this way, or is that cheating in your club's eyes?
