I finally chose dwarf citrus over full size trees for my patio

I had to pick between a standard Meyer lemon tree and a dwarf variety for my small balcony in Portland. I went with the dwarf, expecting less fruit but easier care. It took about 6 months, but the first tiny lemon ripened last week, and I got 3 total from the tree. Has anyone else gone dwarf and regretted not having more fruit?

My Meyer lemon dwarf took almost 8 months before I got anything. I live in Pittsburgh so we dont get a ton of sun even on the balcony. I got 2 lemons total and they were kinda small and dry inside. Made me wonder if I should have just gotten a full size and kept it pruned really hard every year. My neighbor has a full size key lime in a pot and she gets like 20 limes a season. Makes me second guess everything honestly. But the dwarf is way easier to move inside when it gets cold so I guess thats a win.

Man that dry inside thing is so disappointing after waiting that long, I feel your pain.
