inCan we talk about using a hairdryer to speed up polyurethane drying? I thought it was a terrible idea until I tried it on a small test piece.
My own hairdryer hack from last week almost ended in disaster when I got distracted and melted a bit of the plastic on an old tool handle I was trying to dry out. That's the risk we all take when we try to speed things up too much, right? @gracea19 your uncle's boat hull paint trick sounds like a real pro move, getting two coats done in a weekend is a serious time saver that most of us can only dream about. I've definitely learned the hard way that there's a fine line between helpful heat and "whoops there goes my project" heat. Still, it's hard to give up those shortcuts when you're staring at a wet surface that's ruining your whole schedule. What's the worst mess up you've had from trying to rush a drying or setting process?

inTIL bagging your own produce before the scale actually saves time
Wait, does that actually work though? I always worry the scale will think the bag itself adds weight or something stupid like that. Honestly I just started memorizing the PLU codes for the stuff I buy every week - 4011 for bananas, 4062 for honeycrisp apples - it saves me so much time fumbling through the screen.

inThe obsession with "passion" in career advice is hurting people
Right because nothing says dream life like stressing over rent while wearing a barista apron." Yeah, tell your cousin to ask @theawest for a loan when he needs groceries that week. Passion doesn't pay the gas bill last I checked.

Honestly thought renting was smarter until I saw the numbers ten years in.

inRant: My brother asked why we even dig up old pottery
Wait, Michael said the stains tell you their last meal? That's crazy, I never thought of that. @evan295 your cold case analogy is perfect - these guys are basically archaeologists becoming detectives for people who've been dead for centuries.
