I finally looked up how many plant species are in my own state
Found out Ohio has over 1,800 native plants, which is wild considering how much is farmland. Anyone else shocked by the biodiversity in their own backyard?

Over 2,500 in a city area? That's actually crazy. I would have guessed maybe a few hundred at most. It's wild how much can survive in those tiny green spaces between buildings.

Wait, 1,800 just for one state? That's insane lol. I just checked mine and it's over 2,500, which feels impossible with all the concrete around here. Makes you wonder what's still hiding in the little patches of woods.
