Still thinking about the guy at the plant swap who said my pothos was "basic"

He was carrying a single cutting of some rare philodendron like it was a trophy, then told me I should branch out from the "starter plants." Has anyone else run into people at swaps who act like common plants aren't worth the dirt they're in?

Wait, has your friend ever had someone at a swap tell them their plant was "too common" to bring? My buddy brought a beautiful spider plant to a swap once, and a guy rolled his eyes and said it was "a grocery store plant." That same guy later asked my friend for help carrying his car trunk full of plants to his table.

That spider plant would've been the star of my living room honestly. My friend once brought a pothos to a swap and someone tried to school her on how to "fix" the leaves, meanwhile her whole house is basically a jungle. People get so weird about common plants but they're common for a reason!
