Stopped at a farm stand in Vermont that had a pay-what-you-can honor system for eggs

I was driving through the Northeast Kingdom last week and saw this little stand with a lockbox for cash. Their eggs were $4 a dozen but you could leave less if you needed to. Has anyone else seen something like that around here?

Does anyone else try to pay extra at those places and feel like they're being judged by a hen? @emery879 you're way too wholesome for this cynical corner of the internet, but I totally agree it's nice to see trust still exists somewhere.

Love seeing stuff like this. Its getting real tough out there for a lot of people and little gestures like that go a long way. The honor system says a lot about the farmers too, they trust people and that's kind of rare these days. I always stop at stands like this when I see them, even if I don't need anything. Just feels good to support that kind of kindness in the world. Hope more places start doing stuff like this.
