Finally got my recycled brick pathway to drain right.

After months of trying, the gravel base and sand joints fixed the water pooling. Now rain soaks into the ground like it should. Got any advice for green drainage with bricks?

Glad yours worked out. My attempt at a brick patio ended with them floating away in a downpour, so clearly I'm the expert here.

Wait, they floated away? lol that's honestly kind of impressive in a disaster way. I didn't even know bricks could move like that in water, they're so heavy. You must have gotten a crazy amount of rain all at once.

Did you see the video of that guy's brick fire pit washing down the street? It reminds me of what happened to @taylor492. The water just gets under everything and lifts it like a raft. Proper ground prep is no joke.
