During the team barbecue, I disagreed about stacking bricks in the rain.

Gray's story about dropping bricks is rough. I had a similar thing happen with wet patio stones. What worked for me was using a little sand between the layers. Just a handful. Gives them something to grip on. It's not perfect but it stopped that sliding.

People keep saying you need a new electric car to cut emissions

Oh man, you hit the nail on the head! My sister did the same thing, got rid of her perfectly good Prius for a giant new electric truck. I saw that same study, something about the "carbon debt" from making the new battery. Doesn't it take years of driving just to break even?

Why does nobody talk about the new safety sensors on the Cat 336?

That 2015 model in Boise didn't have a single camera. You're telling me you never once had a guy walk up on your blind side while you were swinging with a full bucket? Not once? I find that hard to believe. The new system beeped at me last week for a gas line marker I straight up did not see. It's just a beep, but it makes you stop and look.

My Dana 44 axle shaft snapped clean in half on the Rubicon Trail last month, and I had to winch myself out over a mile of granite.

Snapped clean in half? That's wild. Seen a lot of shafts twist a spline or shear a u-joint, but a full break is pretty rare. What were you running, stock? That trail is brutal on anything though.

Just realized I've been mixing up the plots of two 90s shows for years

Used to think Brisco was the weirdest show ever made. Then I rewatched M.A.N.T.I.S. last year. A rich guy in a bug suit fighting crime with a hover chair is one thing, but the episode with the sentient mold that eats plastic just broke my brain. That show went to places Brisco's magic orb only dreamed of.
