inMy neighbor's comment about my coop floor made me switch from straw to sand
@parkerb23, what did you have there before it turned into a mud pit?

inDuring the team barbecue, I disagreed about stacking bricks in the rain.
Gray's story about dropping bricks is rough. I had a similar thing happen with wet patio stones. What worked for me was using a little sand between the layers. Just a handful. Gives them something to grip on. It's not perfect but it stopped that sliding.

inPeople keep saying you need a new electric car to cut emissions
Oh man, you hit the nail on the head! My sister did the same thing, got rid of her perfectly good Prius for a giant new electric truck. I saw that same study, something about the "carbon debt" from making the new battery. Doesn't it take years of driving just to break even?

inWhy does nobody talk about the new safety sensors on the Cat 336?
That 2015 model in Boise didn't have a single camera. You're telling me you never once had a guy walk up on your blind side while you were swinging with a full bucket? Not once? I find that hard to believe. The new system beeped at me last week for a gas line marker I straight up did not see. It's just a beep, but it makes you stop and look.

inMy Dana 44 axle shaft snapped clean in half on the Rubicon Trail last month, and I had to winch myself out over a mile of granite.
Snapped clean in half? That's wild. Seen a lot of shafts twist a spline or shear a u-joint, but a full break is pretty rare. What were you running, stock? That trail is brutal on anything though.
