Hit $150 in groceries for two weeks and my jaw dropped

I planned every meal around the clearance rack at the Kroger off Main Street, bought only chicken thighs, eggs, beans, and whatever veg was marked down to 99 cents, and somehow that number covered breakfast, lunch, and dinner for my partner and me, so how are people still spending $400 a month on food, is anyone else actually tracking their receipts or am I just getting lucky?

Did I just read my own grocery list, because I swear we're living the same life on chicken thighs and sad clearance veggies? My last receipt had me doing math like a hostage negotiator while my partner ate beans for the third night in a row. Honestly, I think I've just gotten really good at pretending I'm a broke college student again, and it shows.
