Paid the guy fifty bucks and a six pack to look at the old maps and walked away with his answer. I think people just get spooked by property stuff and figure a big name means they won't get screwed. Yeah, "remember faces for up to two years" sounds about right from what I've read. I've kept chickens for a few years now and some of them definitely seem to recognize me versus strangers, especially when I'm the one bringing treats. Your mileage may vary depending on the breed and how much time you spend with them, but they're smarter than people give them credit for.
