My first forge weld finally clicked after 8 tries

Tools are always gonna do that thing where they lie just enough to make you think you're the problem... Had a multimeter give me weird readings for months on a buddy's truck, kept chasing electrical gremlins, turned out the leads had a tiny crack in the insulation from being stepped on. It's like that old saying about a bad craftsman blaming his tools gets flipped around too much. Sometimes the tool really is the one giving you the wrong story, but the kicker is you gotta figure out when to trust your gut over the reading. Everything from a thermostat in your house to a fuel gauge in your car will straight up gaslight you eventually.

My neighbor's bokashi bin smelled so bad I almost gave up on apartment composting

Maria's issue sounds familiar. My buddy Dave tried bokashi in his tiny studio and the smell got so rank his super threatened to evict him. Turned out he was mixing in too much dairy and not enough carbon stuff, like shredded paper or dried leaves. We joked it smelled like a science experiment gone wrong, but once he fixed the balance (and started draining regularly), it was night and day.

Tried making macarons 4 times last week. My kitchen still looks like a war zone.

Nah, I don't see it that way. Being the fastest in the county for any amount of time is something most people never get to claim. Even if it was just 45 minutes, that's 45 more minutes than the rest of us had.

Figured out my sprinkler timer was running at 3am for no reason

Used to think those timers were foolproof. Totally changed my mind.

Old timer showed me how to read a cutterhead suction gauge at 3am on a job in Mobile

Yeah that 2 psi thing catches a lot of people off guard out there.
