My old backpack zipper gave out right before a trip to Denver
It happened at the airport, so I grabbed a roll of duct tape from a shop for $4 and patched it up good enough to get through security. Has anyone else had to fix gear on the fly, and what's your go-to quick repair?

That duct tape save is legendary. Did you end up having to re-tape it during the trip, or did your patch job hold the whole time?

Held the whole way, actually. That tape was the real MVP of the trip. Never doubted it for a second.
