A local in a cafe in Maine said they skip Bar Harbor for a tiny island nearby

They mentioned a place called Isle au Haut that has part of Acadia National Park but almost no crowds. I looked it up and it's only reachable by a mail boat ferry. Has anyone actually been there and can share what it's like?

My new smartwatch battery died in under 8 hours

I got a new fitness tracker last Tuesday and was excited to test it. I charged it fully overnight and wore it to work the next day. By 3 PM, it was completely dead, which was a huge letdown. The box said the battery should last 5 days with normal use. I've tried resetting it and turning off all the extra features, but it still won't hold a charge. Has anyone else had a watch that just wouldn't last like this?

A grad student basically told me my site sketches were useless

That grad student feedback is so real. My first field school I was just drawing straight lines for walls until someone showed me how to show tumble and collapse. Totally changed what we could see later.

Patchy lawn breading" is so real. Try dipping them in a thin batter first, then the crumbs. It sticks way better.

Actually, it happens more than people notice. You just have to look for the small stuff. Makes a big difference in the long run.
