Ha! My buddy Sarah tried that. She just went back to buying books though. Said she missed the smell and the dog-ears.

Oh I get that completely. I tried switching to a tablet for reading last year and lasted about three months. There is just something about turning a real page that feels right. And the dog-ears are a big loss, I like to mark my spot with a folded corner and you just cant do that on a screen. Plus I found myself getting distracted by notifications popping up while I was trying to read. Ended up giving the tablet to my nephew and went straight back to paperbacks.
