My therapist costs a fortune, but are free apps really just as good for mental health?
I've been seeing a therapist for anxiety, and it's helping, but my wallet is crying. On one hand, the personalized care and accountability from a pro feel worth every penny. On the other hand, I tried a few free meditation apps, and they actually calmed me down without costing a dime. Like last week, when I was stressed about bills, a guided breathing app helped me avoid a panic attack. But with my therapist, we dig into root causes, which apps can't do. So, is shelling out for therapy a budgeting win for long term health, or are we just paying for the label? What do you all think? Have you found free resources that work, or is professional help non negotiable?
