My monthly review habit was the one thing I kept skipping, now it's the only spread I actually use
I used to think the monthly review in bullet journaling was just extra work, you know, fluff. But after 6 months of skipping it, I finally sat down with my old notebook last Sunday and went through my tasks from August. Realizing that 14 of my 20 unfinished tasks were things I kept moving forward, not because they were hard, but because I never wrote down why I wanted them done, that hit different. Now I add a little line under each rolling task like 'because the garage needs to be walkable before winter' and suddenly the next day it's easier to start. Has anyone else found that writing the reason down changes whether you actually finish the task?

Told my friend about this and she tried it, said writing the reason finally got her to clean out her car.
