Am I the only one who thinks leaving stuff on the curb is lazy and rude to this group?
My neighbor Dana in Portland told me she just puts her old stuff on the sidewalk with a free sign instead of offering it here, and she acted like that was totally fine. But here is the thing, half of it got rained on and the other half got taken by people who flip it online for cash. If you are too busy to post a photo and coordinate a porch pickup, that is okay, but this group runs on actual effort from real people. Does anyone else get annoyed when folks treat the curb as their personal donation bin instead of just posting it here?
I get the frustration but half the stuff people post here never gets picked up either, so it kind of ends up as curb stuff with extra steps. Dana's approach is lazy for sure, but the folks flipping it are gonna flip it whether it's on the sidewalk or your porch. The rain thing is the real crime though, nobody wants a soggy couch.
